Let's Get Together, Dawley House
With thanks to the ‘Let’s Get Together Group’ who meet at
Dawley House every Tuesday between 10am-12noon. We visited them today and
showed about 50 slides showing photos ranging from Dawley, Brookside, Woodside
and the Town Centre.

New Additions Sessions
Great to see people today and share the developments that
we’ve made on the digital table over the last few months. There’s a new set of
photos added to each of the geographic areas; some ‘Then and Then “ photos
courtesy of one of our fabulous community history volunteers who took out her
camera and got to the exact place where some of the TDC pictures were taken. We
absolutely love the magistrates’ court photo – it works so well. There are a
few video clips to watch including the Rev Awdry of Thomas the Tank Engine fame
– opening the Steam railway in the Park; the Beehive being hoisted into
position on the Town Centre and some tree planting by youngsters… location
unknown.
Pass on the postcards...
Pass on the postcards...
And we’re very excited to launch our set of 8 postcards
that anyone dropping into these memory sessions can take away and share with
family and friends to inspire more memory making.

'Photo Shopped'
Had some great conversations with people who dropped in
for this session. Thanks to our Friends from the Town Centre who came and
shared some of their fascinating memories of different shops and happenings
over the years. These will be added to the table along with the photos they’ve
loaned us once we’ve had them digitised.

Parkwood 'Pals'
We were a select group at the Parkwood - another fabulous Wrekin Housing Trust retirement
home – but what a great time we had! You know the saying “quality” not quantity
– so very true I find! Folks – you were fab! Not everyone was around for the photo. Some great memories of the Woodside area again.

Meadcroft
It was great visiting Meadcroft today for their coffee
afternoon. Lots of really varied memories from Woodside, Rough Park,
Dawley, and the Town Centre amongst others.
