A busy day for Telford on Film!

Two outings for Telford on Film today! A showing of the newly digitised film clips by Media Archives Central England at Southwater in the morning and with Madeley History Group in the afternoon. It's really fulfilling to be able to show this material that otherwise wouldn't been seen. So very grateful to HLF for the grant and the superb work that MACE have done in restoring the original films.
We did a 11.30am -12.30pm slot at Southwater and although, unbelievably we'd woken up to a white blanket of snow around the town, the sun was streaming gloriously through the windows when we set the film rolling.

Thanks to Madeley History Group for the invitation to join their film afternoon. There was a really great crowd of history enthusiasts and the TONT films complemented the History Group's cine  films both in style and era. Always a pleasure to work with them.

Reading Down Memory Lane

A visit to Apley Court
We've been at Apley Court, one of the Wrekin Housing Trust schemes, today with our Reading Down Memory Lane presentation. This was organised through the Senior Citizens Forum. These presentations are a mix of the TONT photos and reflections and opportunities to reminisce about Telford and places people have lived.

Always lovely to meet people in residential locations and share lots of lovely memories.
